No.

San Aae GT is not designed as a feeder or development series. It is a professional championship with its own standards, governance, and competitive ladder.

  • GT-Premier — the premier class

  • GT-Pro — the professional entry class

Both classes compete under the same championship framework with clearly defined promotion and demotion pathways.

How does promotion and demotion work?

All movement between classes is points-based only.

  • Top 5 in GT-Pro → promoted to GT-Premier

  • Bottom 5 in GT-Premier → demoted to GT-Pro

  • Bottom 5 in GT-Pro→ moved to the Waiting List

  • Top 5 on the Waiting List → promoted into GT-Pro

There is no discretionary judgment involved.

Is there rookie protection?

  • There is no rookie protection in GT-Premier

Once promoted to GT-Premier , all competitors are held to the same standard.

What is the Waiting List?

The Waiting List is an active staging table, not a closed door.

It exists to:

  • Manage grid availability

  • Maintain competitive balance

  • Provide a structured path back into competition

Drivers and teams move on and off the Waiting List through results and readiness, not timing or discretion.

Is the entry fee per race or per season?

All San Aae GT entry fees are season-based.
